Return, Product Warranties & Refund Policies

The internet store at www.BasicPrecision.com (hereinafter “Site”) is operated by Basic Finder, LLC dba Basic Precision (hereinafter “Basic Precision”, “we”, “us” and “our”). Services at our Site are provided to you (herein “you” or the “Customer”) subject to the Terms of Use (“Terms”) and foregoing document specifying our Return, Product Warranties & Refund Policies is an integral part thereof. Therefore, any purchase of any product from our store (hereinafter “product(s)” or “item(s)”) is subject to our Return, Warranty & Refund Policies as more fully set forth below:

1. We are shipping a majority of our products by a trackable delivery service. In such a case you have up to 15 calendar days from the delivery date to initiate the return procedure by submitting us all information specified in the below section 4 of the foregoing document via info@BasicPrecision.com or via Contact Form at this Site. Sometimes we ship certain less expensive accessory items via regular mail. In such case you must submit information for the return within 20 days from the time we shipped your order.  This policy has only one important exception. If an item arrives to the Customer damaged in transit, then the Customer must contact Basic Precision within 48 hours for the return instructions.

2. Only unused items in the original packaging, in the same condition as they have arrived to the Customer and with all accompanying documentation (user guides, technical manuals, etc.) are eligible for a return to Basic Precision subject to timely and properly request for a return procedure.

3. Unless it is expressly specified otherwise, all new products in our webstore are sold with a manufacturer’s warranty which may vary from item to item. If the Customer starts using such a product and finds any manufacturing defect or any other warranty related issue within the manufacturer’s warranty period, then the manufacturer’s policies should apply, and the Customer shall either contact the manufacturer directly or contact us and we will gladly assist in contacting a manufacturer. Warranty-related provisions of this paragraph do not apply to any used products which we may sell at our Site. Such used products are sold with no warranty and their sales are final and are not eligible for returns and warranty repairs for any reason unless we specifically stated that some part of the remaining manufacturer's warranty period is still applicable to an item. 

4. The Customer’s initial request for an eligible return to Basic Precision or for assistance with a manufacturer’s warranty issues should contain the following mandatory information:

  1. The Customer’s name.
  2. The Customer’s contact information including the preferred e-mail address and telephone number.
  3. The item description with the model and serial number when applicable.
  4. The date when the item was purchased and the order number.
  5. Description of the reason why the Customer wants to return the item to Basic Precision or to get the item replaced or repaired by the manufacturer.

5. If an item arrives to the Customer damaged in transit, we will send you a return shipping label and will try our best to replace the damaged item in a reasonable time and at no cost to the Customer. However, some high-demand items may not be available in stock all the time. In such case, we will replace the item when we have it back in stock.

6. If an item is eligible for a return, not damaged and the customer still wants to return it to Basic Precision, we will accept such an item for the refund. However, a restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from the amount you paid us for the item.

7. Before sending any returns, the Customer should receive an RMA# and a shipping address applicable to each return situation from us. Basic Precision is not responsible for any returns sent without proper RMA# or to an improper address.

8. An item will be considered as returned to Basic Precision only after we have it back in our possession. Basic Precision is not responsible for any item lost or damaged in transit to us while being returned. While shipping costs are non-refundable and choosing a return shipping method is solely the Customer’s responsibility, we still recommend our Customers sending returns by a trackable mailing service with proper insurance.

9. Basic Precision will accept a return only upon inspecting the returned item(s) and confirming compliance with the foregoing Return, Warranty & Refund Policies.

10. If a return is accepted for refund, then we will send the refund within 7-14 days to the Customer by our check or via returning the refund amount to the Customer’s credit or debit card used to pay for the original order.

11. Certain new items we sell are non-refundable. Such items, for example, may be an adapter of a size specific to your equipment, a device which we do not normally stock and must order from a manufacture specifically for your needs or any other item which we can not accept back for any other reason. Such items are specifically marked at the Site as a Non-Refundable Item. Please pay attention to such markings.  All used Items are sold as Non-Refundable unless it is expressly specified otherwise. Any sale of a Non-Refundable Item is final. We will not refund you for such an item even if you decide to cancel an order before we ship it.

12. If an item you purchased is not a Non-Refundable Item and you decide to cancel an order before we ship it, then we will refund you the complete amount of your purchase except for the Order Processing Fee, which is 4.28% of the total amount of your order. This policy has no exceptions since we pay credit card processing and verification fees at the time of your purchase and these fees are non-refundable to us.

13.  This Return, Product Warranties & Refund Policies  are subject to change or update at any time without notice and at the sole discretion of Basic Precision. We have to do it from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
